About Western Marble Granite and Tile Ltd.
Business is rock solid for Western Marble, Granite and Tile, which laid its foundation in 1977 as a small family-run business. Since 2013, the company has flourished under new owners, who are proud to maintain its personal approach to doing business. In the first two years, they have invested nearly $2 million in new technology, equipment and training to maintain their status as industry innovators. The local company continues to grow and has made its mark as one of the largest solid stone companies in the province, specializing in the fabrication and installation of solid surface countertops.
The dedicated staff members go above and beyond to provide exemplary service. These hardworking experts provide top-notch customer support and always ensure that each and every client is satisfied. Their passion extends beyond their jobs to include a genuine interest in the industry, including an in-depth knowledge of materials and technology used at Western Marble, Granite and Tile. The team truly cares about its customers, taking time to listen to individual wants and needs. With a wealth of experience, they can provide artful advice about which materials and colours would best suit each project. If a client needs additional guidance, the staff will ask the right questions to determine optimal options and suitable selections. As well, the sales professionals can provide free quotes by gathering project information to provide to an experienced estimator.
At Western Marble, Granite and Tile, an ongoing commitment to the environment is also set in stone. As industry leaders, the new owners implemented cutting-edge technology to increase efficiency while also reducing environmental impacts. Stone fabrication is now digitally automated right in their warehouse, allowing the company to triple its production capacity. In addition, templates are now created digitally using laser technology instead of using cardboard. The new owners also installed an advanced filtration system that recycles water, resulting in an 80 per cent reduction in water usage. In addition, quartz and granite residues created by the cutting process are reused in cement for construction. With a focus on outstanding quality and service, Western Marble, Granite and Tile has fostered relationships with clients throughout Manitoba, reaching as far north as Flin Flon.
The company serves Winnipeg and surrounding areas including Selkirk, Oak Bank, Portage la Prairie and Brandon, as well as the Whiteshell, Kenora and Northwestern Ontario. Their hard work is earning recognition, in March 2015 Western Marble, Granite and Tile was one of three businesses nominated for the Spirit of Winnipeg Award for Innovation in the medium business category. Five months later, the business was named a Marble Institute of America Natural Stone Fabricator in Canada, making it the 3rd location in Canada and 98th location in North America to achieve this impressive accreditation.
